“The Process to Greatness”

I wrote a book entitled “The Dark Place: Understanding the Process”, which is all about understanding the process to greatness, to that place that God planned for us before we were born.  This process is necessary so that the greater “you”, the greater me can be revealed.

This process I call the dark place is like a death. The death from the old, but life to the new.  A process of development and preparation.  It is like when the Developer is at work in the darkroom.  A darkroom is used to process photographic film, make prints and carry out other associated tasks. It is a room that can be made completely dark to allow the processing of light-sensitive photographic materials.

From a spiritual perspective this is a place where a mental and spiritual metamorphosis is taking place, based on Romans 12:2 “be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind...”  No matter what your dreams or desires, to go further, to progress, there is a process, a period of preparation that is necessary for all of us.

I breakdown the life cycle of the butterfly as it relates to a spiritual and mental process that we must go through as a child of God to be able to fulfill our God-given purpose and depicts a paradigm shift as the mind is changed. I share much of my testimony, of my journey that I believe will help you to identity/relate to where you are in your journey to being the greater you that God has ordained and anointed you to be and to reveal all the more what you are to do. 

I had so many “aha” moments, epiphanies, mental breakthroughs, meltdowns, and revelations during my transformation process.  While writing this book I received revelations and answers that I had been seeking for over twenty years.

Some people try to skip over the process but later find that they did not make it where they thought because they did not complete process that God determined that would prepare them for their God-ordained call/assignment. 

There are some experiences that we all will have to endure that are necessary for those of us whose purpose to progress in any area, whether it’s a profession, business, ministry, or any progressive endeavor in life.  Yes, I said endure. 

It is somewhat like a race.  A race of endurance, that is definitely necessary because there will come a time when you and I will be tested by God and tempted by the enemy/satan just as Jesus was in the wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights with no food or water.

The Dark Place will help you to stay the course when you run into what is referred to by some as the “terror barrier.”  I first heard of this term when reading and looking at the documentary of “The Secret” with Bob Proctor and Lisa Nichols as primary teachers.  What is a terror barrier?  It is a place during the time of being prepared that will make you not only want to turn back to where you were, but make you want to run away as fast as you can anywhere other than where you currently are. 

It is a place that will make you wonder what was I thinking?  What in the world is going, and asking Holy Spirit to please help you to understand, to know what it is you can do that this time of preparation will hurry and be over?  Also, you may even ask, God is this you?  Or you are wondering if you are going in the right direction to get to where God needs you to be to fulfill your assignment.  Just as Jesus went through a natural wilderness experience, He went through a spiritual wilderness, of great spiritual warfare, with enemy trying to tempt Him to give in to satisfying His flesh.  No, ours will not look the same but it will be spiritual and natural. 

This warfare that is meant to stop us, to wear us out to the point that we will give up and give in so that if we do not go through the process of preparation.  Just as Jesus did and many others, we will go through the dark place, the process that will prepare and/or confirm the call, the assignment.  This time of preparation will build you up to a place in God, in the spirit that you are able to fight your way through any adversity if you don’t give up and give-in.

Bottom line, If you are in a place of obscurity feeling like you have been cut off and abandoned; if you are confused standing at the crossroads, wondering which way to go, if you are feeling rejected, or feeling betrayed, then this book is for you. Most of us at some point and time will experience these feelings in a major way that we may be prepared for the call, that will build the spiritual muscles that are necessary to be ready for the assignment/the call. If the inner does not change, the outer will not change. If you are asking God when Lord when? Then most likely you are being prepared for greater.  Therefore, this book is for you!
